WebLokivetmab, trade name Cytopoint, is a monoclonal antibody used to treat atopic dermatitis in dogs. It acts against interleukin 31 (IL-31), which is a cytokine involved in causing itchiness (pruritus). Lokivetmab is administered by subcutaneous injection; each dose is effective for four to eight weeks. WebCytopoint is a small, painless injection that your veterinarian gives under your dog’s skin, similar to a vaccination. After the injection, the itch usually is reduced within a few days, and the effect lasts for 4 to 8 weeks. The injection can then be given again, as needed. Every dog is different, so you will have to stay
